Steven Banks is the Founder and CEO of Arthur Allen Technology. His IT educational background includes a B.S. in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security and Assurance. He is also Microsoft Azure certified.

He has 5+ years of experience in the IT support field which includes a large portion of help desk-related work. This has allowed him to gain hands-on experience and establish solid connections with clients through various problem-solving techniques.

What advice would you give to someone interested in an IT career? 

Since technology is all around us, find something, anything you're good at, that you also enjoy. Then, find out how technology is integrated into it and pursue it! 

Who or what got you interested in IT? 

I remember I took apart my dad's old Nokia 5110 in Middle School because I was fascinated with the internal parts. In Elementary school, I found a workaround for us to get on the Internet and play games. So, my interest has always been there, I just embraced it.

When asked why Steven start Arthur Allen Technology, he stated "as a black man, I aspire to have the things that seemed unattainable to so many before me. I started this business to show my younger relatives and kids I cross paths with that there are other options for our success in the world, just find your passion." Arthur Allen is committed to helping black people get hands-on experience in the industry. A portion of our profits are invested into the community to create a funnel of support for those seeking a career in IT.
